Surgery
Yes. You will receive a confirmation call the day before your appointment. However, if you are feeling ill/ begin running a temperature prior to procedure, please give us a call.
No. Please speak with your provider about the type of blood thinner you are on and when to stop taking it. Here are some common blood thinners and when to stop taking them.
Coumadin - 7 days prior
Plavix- 5 days prior
Lovenox- 24 hours
Eliquis- 2 days prior
Xarelto- 2 days prior
Aspirin- 7 days prior
Yes, please arrange to have a driver with you during the duration of your surgery.
Please contact your provider if you are or think you might be pregnant.
Do not eat drink anything 12 hours prior to your appointment. You may take your morning medications with a small sip of water, otherwise nothing else to eat or drink.
Please arrive about 20 minutes prior to your appointment as you will need to complete some paperwork
Wear comfortable clothing, preferable something with an elastic waist. Do not wear any jewelry the day of your surgery
